Programme Outcomes (POs):

The students of Mechanical Engineering program are able to:

PO 1 Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals for the solution of mechanical engineering problems.

PO 2 Identify, formulate and analyze complex engineering problems of Mechanical engineering.

PO 3 Design solutions and design system components or processes for Mechanical engineering problems to address the public health, safety and environmental issues.

PO 4 Provide valid conclusions of engineering problems to analysis and interpretation of data related to their field.

PO 5 Prediction and modeling of engineering activities by select and apply appropriate techniques, resources of mechanical engineering.

PO 6 Apply knowledge of mechanical engineering for techno-social-environmental issues.

PO 7 Understand the impact of the mechanical engineering solutions and demonstrate and apply the knowledge of it for viable development.

PO 8 Understand principles of mechanical engineering and apply it to real situations of world

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):
PEO 1.Provide students with sound mechanical engineering knowledge, its application and principles.

PEO 2 Imparting practical knowledge to the students and enhancing their skills to make them competent for mechanical engineering field.

PEO 3 Maintaining and providing research facilities the students and faculty with opportunities to create, interpret, and apply knowledge for solving the related problem of their fields.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

At the end of the program, the student:

PSO 1 Should be able to clearly understand the concepts and applications in the field of Machine component design, advanced manufacturing techniques, thermal engineering.

PSO 2 Should be able to associate the learning from the courses related to Energy Conversion, Fluid Mechanics, Theory of Machines & Power plant engineering to arrive at solutions to real world problems.

PSO 3 Should have the capability to comprehend the technological advancements in the usage of modern design tools to analyze and design subsystems/processes for a variety of applications.

PSO 4 Should posses the skills to communicate in both oral and written forms, the work already done and the future plans with necessary road maps demonstrating the practice of mechanical engineering concepts for societal and environmental benefits.
