The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) at SIRT-S, Bhopal have been started in the year 2009 in Under Graduate (BE) course program with intake of 30 students. Currently department has intake of 120 students in under graduate BE program. Further in 2012, it started the post graduate (M. Tech) program in the Structural Engineering (SE) stream with intake of 30 students
The Department has a comprehensive curriculum as per the guidelines of RGPV which includes topics related to all aspects of Civil engineering with an emphasis on practical learning. The department also provides outstanding research guidance to M. Tech. students in the areas including Mix design, Structural design, design of structures etc. It has consistently fulfilled its role of producing Civil Engineers ready to satisfy the needs of the construction industry. Alumni of the Civil Engineering department occupy top positions in Industries throughout India.
